The Hall

Directions

The Hall is located in the lower part of Hawsker village.

If you are travelling from most parts of the UK, you will arrive on the northern outskirts of Whitby after travelling from either the Guisborough/Middlesbrough direction or from over the North York Moors. Follow the signs towards Whitby, going straight over 3 separate roundabouts and at the major traffic light junction, turn right towards Robin Hood's Bay & Scarborough. This will take you over the high bridge and on out of Whitby. Continue for 2 or 3 miles until you see Trailways Cycle Hire on your right. Just a few hundred yards further, the road bends to the right and you should take the next turning on your right by the village hall. Drive into Low Hawsker and in a hundred yards or so, you will see a track going off to the right. Drive on to this track and then immediately turn left between the two stone pillars. The drive is very uneven so please drive slowly.

The Hall is the white rendered house on the left. There is a fenced area where you can easily park 2 cars. Watch out for the raised manhole cover, especially in the dark.

Once you have parked up, walk around towards the front door and through the gate.

If you are travelling north from the east coast, you will drive through Scarborough and then follow signs to Whitby on the A171. After approx 15 miles, you will arrive in Hawsker and you should then turn left into Low Hawsker. (If you get as far as Trailways Cycle Hire, you've missed the turn).
